Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Takloban on 28 October 1944 during the US campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is a notebook containing specifications of aircraft machine-cannon and machine-guns and notes and sketches of a Type 1 Large Power Turret, Model 21 (used in Type 2 and 97 Large Flying Boats and Type 1 Land Attack Planes). It was held by YUKISHIGI Sueo, member of the Regular Course of 25th Session, Ordnance Maintenance Training. Weapons detailed include: Type 99 20 mm Flexible Machine-cannon, Model 1, Modification 1; Type 99 Mk 1 20 mm Flexible (Fixed) Machine-cannon; Type 99 Mk 1 20 mm Flexible Machine-cannon, Model 2; Type 92 7.7 mm Flexible Machine-gun, Modification 1; Type 97 7.7 mm Fixed Machine-gun, Model 3, Modification 2; Type 3 13 mm Fixed Aircraft Machine-gun; and Type 2 13 mm Flexible Machine-gun, Model 1.
