| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal JA147186 of the 53rd Infantry Regiment 2nd Field Hospital, who was captured near Talasea on 24 March 1944. JA147186, a Corporal from Tokyo (Kamada-ku), was captured by US Marines. During the interrogation, JA147186 provided information on the operation of the 2nd Field Hospital in New Britain, an attack by Allied submarines on Awata Maru on 22 October 1943 and an aerial attack on Rabaul on 5 November 1943. |
