Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia (Jayapura) on 30 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a technical manual containing performance data on 20 German Telefunken-made tubes for use by the army, including the M550/14R and RD 4 Ma four-segment plate magnetrons. The data in the report was the result of tests performed at Tama Technical Research Laboratory and other laboratories under the direction of Colonel HATAO, Army Technical Department, 1st Lieutenant KURODA and Army Technician, KURADA. It includes sketches of each tube, ratings, static characteristics, dynamic characteristics and construction details. |
