Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report issued on 6 January 1947 on procedures for the repatriation and interrogation of Japanese nationals at the port of Uraga (near Tokyo). The report contains information on Japanese reactions to the repatriation process, on their treatment while prisoners of war and during the Occupation, disembarkation procedures, customs inspections, personal property inspection, medical procedures, movement to Welfare Ministry camps, camp conditions, food, and interrogation procedure and facilities in the welfare camps.
