Content: | This item is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured on the Trobriand Islands on 16 March 1943. This field diary covers the daily orders, incident reports and billeting arrangements for the No. 3 Battery, 50th Field Anti-aircraft Gun Battalion in Manchuria in November 1942 prior to departure for Rabaul. It also contains combat reports of actions in New Britain in late December 1942 and January 1943, including rudimentary firing maps. It also contains extracts of speeches delivered by senior Japanese officers. |
