| Content: | This item is a diary for the month of February 1944, recording the treatment and symptoms of soldiers admitted to the 2nd Field Hospital. It describes the symptoms of illnesses such as malaria, and notes on the type of treatment given. Most of the entries have been made by a sergeant OKUGURA, and stamped with his official seal, but there are also stamps belonging to officers TAKASHIMA and ÔUE. At the back of the diary are two patient charts recording body temperature, urine and bowel movements. This item was captured at Malala in August 1944. |
