Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured in the Philippines on 26 November 1944 during the US campaign to recapture the islands. This item is a file of notices to mariners (nos. 5-8 and 16-25) issued between 30 May and 1 September 1944 by the Southern Area Naval Hydrographic Department. This item was issued as a correction to charts and other publications of the Southern Area Naval Hydrographic Department and deals principally with channel markings, obstacles, mooring buoys and changes in navigational aids in the waterways and harbours in the Netherlands East Indies and the Philippines area. |
