Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private JA145606 of the 78th Infantry Regiment 1st Battalion 4th Company 2nd Platoon 1st Section, who was captured in Wampun near Dumpu on 5 October 1943. JA145606, a 20 year old 1st Class Private from Korea, was sick in the jungle when was captured by Australian troops. He was a Korean volunteer. During the interrogation, JA145606 provided information on his unit organisation, movements in New Guinea, the road networks in New Guinea and conditions in Korea.
