Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Buna on 3 January 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. Written in 1937, this item is a manual of naval hand signals for use on deck and in the engine room. It contains an inventory of naval hand and finger signals and their meanings, as well as the general rules and principles associated with signalling.
