Content: | This item consists of an official war diary for an unidentified 2nd Platoon 2nd Squad for the period 31 October to 10 November 1943. The location of the unit is given as the Cape Campbell Signal Post. War diaries contain a detailed daily record of a unit's activities. They were intended to be submitted monthly through the command structure to Imperial HQ, though in practice many were destroyed in the field or kept with the unit. |
