| Content: | This item is a set of army lists for warrant officers and non-commissioned officers stationed in Korea between December 1942 and February 1943. It has been stamped with the seal of an officer FUKUDA, of unspecified rank. The main purpose of these lists is to determine the seniority of the unit officers, and to calculate how long each officer must serve in a particular rank before being promoted. At the beginning of the set is a list of instructions explaining how to calculate seniority, and a table showing how many years are spent in each grade (from corporal through to warrant officer). The lists are divided according to unit, and provide the name, place of origin and rank of each officer, as well as a record of how many years he has spent in each grade. This item was captured at Sio in June 1943. |
