Content: | This item is an official diary for the month of March 1942, recording the movements of the 4th Company of the 39th Independent Motor Car Battalion while on dispatch to the 16th Army in West Java. It contains lists of unit members and their assigned duties, as well as orders and reports concerning unit activities such as the transportation of aviation fuel, ammunition and supplies between Subang and Eretan, and the transport of sick and wounded soldiers from the 16th Army temporary Line of Communications Hospital Unit. Late in the diary there are also orders for an attack on enemy forces between Bandon and Buitenzorg. This item was captured at Hansa Bay in July 1944 |
